After a cup of coffee at't Wapen van Bunnik, you can walk through the park forest of Oud-Amelisweerd. Here you will see two landscape styles. The straight avenues lined with trees belong to the baroque style. The winding paths with vistas and water features are characteristic of the English landscape style. The country house at Oud-Amelisweerd houses a museum where you can view the Armando collection, among other things. The Nieuw-Amelisweerd country house houses apartments. The Rhijnauwen country house, located on the banks of the Kromme Rijn, has been a youth hostel since 1933, the oldest in the Netherlands. Fort bij Rhijnauwen consists of barracks and flank batteries dug into earthen walls. The whole is surrounded by a double moat. The trees and shrubs are home to hundreds of species of plants and animals.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
