Tour of forests and castles near Vorden

In the Achterhoek scenic landscape of fields, forests, streams and hedgerows, the kilometers seem to pass by themselves. Further on you drive past Molen Ons Belang, a beautiful thatched corn mill from 1890. The origins of Vorden Castle go all the way back to the fourteenth century. In Vorden you can still taste the atmosphere of times gone by. You will see the thirteenth-century village church. At the Baakse Beek you pass the estate of Hackfort Castle. Drive up the driveway to view the old country house and the stately trees. Den Bramel Castle originally dates from the fourteenth century. The current country house was built in 1726. You also pass through the forests of Het Grote Veld. Stop off at Hotel Cafe Restaurant Prinsen along the way for a well-deserved break!
