The Renderklippen is the largest nature reserve in Heerde. A long row of hills with hills up to 15 meters high keep sand drifts in place. The Pluienmeer is located in a nature reserve called the Renderklikken. This lake was previously used to wash sheep when they strolled across the heathland. They stay in the sheepfold of Epe-Heerde.
Furthermore, the bright purple heather, the bees, grasshoppers, sand lizards, vipers, grass snakes and smooth snakes make nature very special. If you come there in the evening, you will notice that there is very little light pollution here. Because the cities are located quite a distance away, it gets really dark here in the evening!
Enjoy peace, nature and then relax in a relaxed environment. Together with Dier-All in animal special stores, De Middenstip in Epe has set out two beautiful walking routes in the area.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
