Cycling through Hellevoetsluis, Voornes Duin and Oostvoorne

Immediately after boarding, you drive to the heart of Hellevoetsluis. This picturesque town enjoys a protected cityscape because of the many monumental buildings and the still visible maritime past. If you drive around the harbor, you will see a lighthouse from 1822, a corn mill from 1801 and Dry dock Jan Blanken that was built between 1798 and 1822. Then you drive a few kilometers along the edge of the dunes. On the right you look out over grass and meadows. You also drive a bit through Voornes Duin, a varied nature reserve where it is nice and quiet to cycle. In Oostvoorne you can view the restored ruins of the medieval Jacobaburcht, the country residence of Jacoba van Beieren. At De IJsboerin you can take a break for a refreshment, after which you drive back to Hellevoetsluis.
