Cycling along Limburg castles

In this region you can fully enjoy the characteristic atmosphere that gives you the feeling of being on holiday abroad for a day. You will see monumental half-timbered houses, idyllic stream valleys and hillside forests. In Gulpen you will pass the Sint-Petruskerk. Originally this was a little further along your route. Of this centuries-old predecessor only the striking church tower remains, which is also used as a defensive structure. You will pass Brasserie Amuseer, where you can enjoy a well-deserved break with a delicious snack and drink. Oud-Valkenburg is a picturesque hamlet on the Geul. Here you will see, among other things, the eleventh-century Johannes de Doperkerk, one of the oldest churches in this region. At Voerendaal you will pass Kasteel Puth, which is located behind an impressive castle farm.
