Description
Between the trees of the Amerongse and Zuilensteinse forest you will discover the beauty of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. You start the route at Restaurant de Bosrand. From the starting point you follow the route to Amerongen Castle, which has existed since 1286. Over the years, the castle has been destroyed and rebuilt several times. From here you cycle to the historic village of Wijk bij Duurstede. Get off here and walk around at your leisure. The village expanded over time and became one of the most important trading places in Northwestern Europe.
