Description
The Oostvaardersplassen are a special area. Nowhere in Europe will you find a natural wetland with reed plains, rugged grasslands and open ponds that has been as well preserved as here. It is a true paradise for many bird species, such as spoonbills, geese and even birds of prey. You will also find large grazing herds of game such as red deer, Heck cattle and Konik horses.

Also take a look at the Oostvaardersplassen Visitor Center. Here you will learn more about the beautiful nature and animals in this nature reserve. In the associated shop you can buy all kinds of things for the road, such as binoculars, but deer antlers are also sold that are collected by the ranger during the period when deer lose their antlers. You can also sit here on the terrace with a nice cup of coffee.
