The Four Days Marches in Nijmegen consists of four days of walking pleasure in the wider area of the city of Nijmegen. You walk through Gelderland, Brabant and Limburg. Every day there is a different place in the Nijmegen area.
The last day of the Four Days Marches is the Day of Cuijk. You walk through the center of Grave early in the morning. Grave is a nice city to walk through, especially because the municipality provides a festive welcome. After this you walk towards Cuijk. Cuijk is a village in the northeast of the province of North Brabant in the municipality of the same name and it is located on the west bank of the Maas. The last day of the Four Days Marches is traditionally the day of the Gladiolus and of the glorious entry on the Via Gladiola. This is what many hikers look forward to from day one. There are thousands of people along the side and it is a big party. The walkers are handed the gladioli as a sign of strength and victory. The route again runs south of Nijmegen, but now the south and west sides of the Maas are visited. In Cuijk, walkers cross the Maas via a pontoon bridge. You end the day at the festive Wedren.
