Walking in Spike

Where the Merwede Canal ends in the Linge, you will find the town of Spijk on the banks of the river. About 900 people live in the picturesque town, which means that you are still greeted on the street in a warm, village-like way. The village church dates back to the fourteenth century and forms the heart of the town. Take a trip on the Linge by taking the foot ferry. The walking tour starts at Fiets- en Voetveer Carolinge, and so you cross the Linge and'shuttle\\\' you go back and forth between Rietveld and Spijk. Such a trip on the water always yields nice places, so bring your camera!
