The Loonse and Drunense Duinen near Helvoirt

This route takes you through the eastern side of the Loons and Drunense Duinen National Park. First you walk through the mixed forests of the Guldenberg. The name of this area refers to a sand hill that was located here in the former swamp. In order to be allowed to pay this increase, farmers used to have to pay a guilder. Then you walk a bit through the Hengstven. This was once an agricultural area, but has recently been redeveloped into a nature reserve. You walk past flowery meadows, you also pass the quiet waters of the Boompjesven. Finally, the path takes you a long way through the fragrant conifers. Here you also pass a plain with living drifting sand.
