Tour of Edam, Volendam and Purmerend

Cycle from Camping and Restaurant Strandbad Edam along the banks of the 700 square kilometer Markermeer. Polder plans were canceled because it is an important attraction for birds. Water recreation was therefore extra stimulated and the Markermeer therefore attracts many water (sports) enthusiasts. Volendam is a village that enjoys great fame. You have undoubtedly heard of the well-known Dutch people who come from the village: singer Jan Smit, the 3J\\\'s, the duo Nick and Simon and numerous football players. The Volendam traditional costume regularly represents the"national\\\" clothing. You will also pass one of the best preserved fortresses from the Defense Line of Amsterdam: the Fort near Edam. The fort was included in the Unesco list of World Heritage in 1996. You also cycle through the beautiful old Purmerend.
