A tour of Scheveningen and the Clingendael estate

Your route starts at BINKBIKES, where you can immediately rent a bicycle. You cross the green zone that connects the Green Heart and the forests and dunes along the coast near Wassenaar. Here nature is restored to its former glory. The green Raaphorstpolder has been laid out in a landscape style, which is in line with the Raaphorst country estate. It is part of an extensive estate consisting of the Raaphorstpolder, Ter Horst estate and Eikenhorst estate. Together these three are called the Koninklijke Landgoed de Horsten. You cycle to the Clingendael estate annex park, on which a seventeenth-century house has been built. The house was thoroughly renovated in 1982. There are a number of beautiful gardens on the estate, such as a Japanese garden, the Sterrenbos, the Slingermuur and an Old Dutch garden.
