Mill route Gramsbergen from Coevorden

Your route starts at H Design Hotels Kasteel Coevorden. A place with history, because the first castle was already here around 1025. In a wide bend it goes towards the beautiful old Gramsbergen, in the Overijssel Vechtdal. The charm of the Vechtdal is hidden in the small-scale landscape full of beautiful vistas, on a meandering river. Just before you cycle into the hamlet of Ane, you will pass De Anermolen. This corn mill was built in 1858 but burned down completely in 1864 - on New Year's Day. Between Dalen and Coevorden you can take a look at the De Bente mill. The current mill was built in 1814. Before that there was another mill here, but it went up in flames in 1813 during an invasion by the French.
