Tour of Kroonvense and Peelse Heide

Your walk starts at Hotel Bladel. In the region of the Eight Beatitudes you can enjoy walking through the forests and fields that surround these characteristic Brabant villages. First you walk through the fragrant forests of the Kroonvense Heide. The former heath has not been fully developed, you see heathlands and fens overgrown with water lilies such as the Kroonven. Sundew grows on the banks of this fen. Then you will discover the Peelse Heide nature reserve. Here you pass the Groote Cirkel, which was an important landmark for pilots during the Second World War. Just before the end of the route you pass the Neerven, the largest fen in the Kroonvense Heide. Stop for a moment to enjoy the water lilies and the peace and quiet!
