Description
The Schaijkse Heide is a nature reserve located south of the town of Schaijk. Small pieces of drifting sand are enclosed by a grazing area, where animals roam in a section closed off with cattle grids. Deer and foxes are not often seen, but are given all the peace and space here to maintain the population. In addition, Scottish Highlanders leisurely stroll through the area, looking for fresh leaves. Common forest animals such as rabbits, moles, mice and squirrels are also well represented.
