Cycling route: 1752096
Provided by: route.nl
This cycling route starts at Europarcs Resort de Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The national park after which the holiday park is named consists of a hilly area of approximately 60 km². The Utrechtse Heuvelrug is a moraine where mammals live such as the deer, fox, badger and the rare pine marten. Ecological connecting zones also make the area suitable for larger mammals, such as the red deer. You cycle past Huize 't Stort, on a beautiful estate. This country estate was built in 1903. Different owners added a section each time. You also drive straight through Austerlitz, a village that arose in the early 1800s around an army camp of French soldiers. Further on you will pass Het Witte Huis, a former forest ranger's house. You cycle back to your starting point via the lovely Amersfoort.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
