Description
Close to the border with Germany, the Twente landscape is beautiful. The ideal place to cycle through! Nature lovers can indulge themselves during this route. You can encounter the flying stag, a rare black beetle with deer antlers. The best chance to spot this is in the month of June. You will also encounter wild orchids and the Mosbeek, which rises in the Meander. Cycle to authentic watermills such as Restaurant Watermolen Bels; enjoy a delicious snack and drink here and old estates, which show you the best of Twente. The route starts at Group accommodation De Schure & Group accommodation Het Landhoes. A comfortable house is located on a centuries-old farm and can offer up to 11 people an atmospheric overnight stay. You will also come close to Ootmarsum.
