Tour of Delft and Rijswijk from Vlaardingen

This cycle route starts at the Delta Hotel / Grand Café Nautique in Vlaardingen, where you seem to have your feet in the water. You drive out of Vlaardingen along the edge of Recreation Area Broekpolder. In Schipluiden you will pass the Tram Station Museum. In this nice town you will see some beautiful monumental buildings on the quay. Delft is known for its pottery, but the historic town where Delft Blue originated has grown into a lively student city. Yet there are still plenty of monumental buildings to see in the city, because the historic city center is still well preserved. The quieter countryside forms a great contrast to the bustling city. After the city center it is nice to catch your breath here.
