Tour of Boxtel and Kampina from Oisterwijk

You start in the center of Oisterwijk. North of Oisterwijk you will find an agricultural landscape, where you will discover the lovely Haaren and the Kerkhovense Mill. During this tour you cycle straight through the Oisterwijk Forests and Fens and the Kampina nature reserve. The area is dense with forests, has extensive heathlands, mysterious fens and meandering stream valleys. Many species of dragonflies float around the water and the heath is covered with many beautiful shrubs, including lavender heather. The forests consist mainly of planted pine forests, where woodpeckers and other birds hide between the trees. Nemerlaer Castle dates from the fourteenth century. It is named after the river Amer and Laer.
