Tour of Boxtel and Kampina from Oisterwijk

You'll start in the heart of Oisterwijk. North of Oisterwijk, you'll find an agricultural landscape where you'll discover the charming town of Haaren and the Kerkhovense Molen (Church of the Churches). This tour takes you straight through the Oisterwijk Forests and Fens and the Kampina nature reserve. The area is densely wooded, with expansive heathlands, mysterious fens, and meandering stream valleys. Numerous dragonfly species hover around the water, and the heathland is covered with beautiful shrubs, including lavender heather. The woodlands consist primarily of planted pine forests, where woodpeckers and other birds hide among the trees. Nemerlaer Castle dates back to the fourteenth century. It is named after the Amer and Laer rivers.
