The Hagerhofke

The history of the Hagerhof takes us back to a distant past: the original farm dates from 1472 and was then called"Hof Ingen Haege\\\" and was surrounded by a moat. There has been a farm on the site since that time. The current petting zoo was opened in 1982. On the farm, children and adults come into contact with animals and nature in a playful way. Under the guidance of professionals, many volunteers work every day to care for the animals and make the visitors' stay as enjoyable and pleasant as possible. In addition to its recreational function, the petting zoo also has an educational task. Many schools from Venlo and the surrounding area come to the farm at least once a year for a lesson visit. The functions of the farm are being expanded: a pancake house is being added to the kiosk catering industry and companies and private individuals will have access to a (meeting) room in nature.
