A picturesque, idyllic landscape emerges between Ruurlo and Lochum: De Graafschap National Landscape. It is a beautiful small-scale landscape that is characterized by fairytale vistas in a semi-open area.
Beautiful greenery adorns the Klein Dochterense Veld, the Warkense Veld and the Grote Veld. Extensive forests with heathlands and hidden fens are surrounded by fields and meadows. Streams, groups of trees and hedgerows complete the landscape. The interplay of hedgerows, hedges, farms, fields and streams gives the area something exciting. With many estates and castles, the area is a very valuable cultural landscape that begs to be discovered.
