Description

The charm of this route lies in the variety of landscapes. A landscape with fields, meadows and forests south of Reusel and Bladel. Many kilometers pass through the reclamation forests, created on the wastelands that were still here in the 19th century. The" Cartier Heide" after which this route is named was donated to the Association of Natural Monuments by the Belgian Baron Cartier de Marchenne in 1932. It is a beautiful remnant of the moors of yesteryear. Nature Gate De Peelse Heide in Reusel is the ideal starting point of this route. Since April 2013, De Peelse Heide has been part of the Brabantse Natuurpoorten network, which will expand to 30 locations in 2015. More information can be found at www.natuurpoorten.nl.
