Southeast of Kortrijk and the Leie

The starting point of this route is at the provincial domain De Gavers in Harelbeke, a must in itself as a recreational and walking area. If you follow the arrows to'De Gavers\\\' in Harelbeke, you will find parking easy! The start of the tour takes us past the large pond, through a very green environment. At point 45 we find the Koutermolen. The cycle path then runs along the Bossuit-Kortrijk canal, a particularly quiet traffic-free road. From point 69 we turn right, head over, along an old railway line towards Kortrijk. Along the station and the associated domain, still traffic-free, to and over the Leie. (para 20/19). We then follow the'Golden River\\\' (because of its usefulness in flax processing) northeastward. Of course we will stop at the famous'Broeltorens\\\' in Kortrijk! At point 42 we cycle back across the Leie, towards the starting point. You can enjoy it in the numerous places in and around the center of Harelbeke.
