Tour Oud-Beijerland and Tiengemeten

In the Hoeksche Waard you can switch back wonderfully. You drive on low-traffic roads along wide grasslands and fields. Just after junction 6 you pass the Kleine Gat, one of the many creeks on the island. On the shore you drive through the Zuid-Beijerlandse Bos. Just outside Nieuw-Beijerland you drive past some old farms and the Landzigt, a flour mill from 1857. From Nieuwendijk you can take a ferry to Tiengemeten for a trip. In 2006, this island was transformed from agricultural land into a wet nature reserve that is under the influence of the Haringvliet. Here you will find untouched wilderness, an old lockkeeper's house and a few farms. A unique experience! You drive through the polder to Nieuw-Beijerland, after which the route ends with something tasty at Brasserie de Greup.
