Description
The LF Maas Route gives a nice insight into our relationship with one of the most important rivers in the south of our country: the Maas. You cycle from Maastricht, where the river (approximately) enters the country, to Hoek van Holland, where it flows into the sea. And then a bit inland to Maasstad Rotterdam. The signs show you the way.
While cycling you realize what living along such a river means. The landscape is determined by it and that produces particularly beautiful pictures. From centuries-old fortified towns and fertile orchards to quintessential Dutch views with dikes and grazing cows in the meadow. You keep taking pictures. The LF Meuse Route is 480 kilometers long and forms the Dutch part of the International Meuse Cycle Route EuroVelo 19.
