Walking route Lieshout and Molenheide

Your route starts with a cup of coffee at the Bavaria Brewery Café. You cross the Wilhelmina Canal and walk into the woods of the Molenheide. The heath is slowly being restored here, the former production forest is becoming more and more varied. Special are the hundreds of dead trees that have been left behind after a storm, which ensure a beautiful cycle. This creates a more natural forest. When you walk back into Lieshout you will pass De Leest, a flour mill from 1899. After lunch at your starting point, it is time for the second part of the route, through the green countryside with small hamlets such as Beemdeind and Het Laar. The Wilhelmina Canal leads you back to Lieshout, where you started the route this morning.
