Your route starts at Hotel Restaurant De Vossenberg. Go on a discovery tour through the Veluwe, past the charming villages of Elburg, Nunspeet and Vierhouten. The Hanseatic city of Elburg is full of historic buildings and monuments. It used to be a bustling fishing town on the Zuiderzee. Pedaling through the forests, past heathlands, fens and moraines you will discover the great nature of the Veluwe. You might come across a deer or red deer along the way! In the woods near Vierhouten you cycle past listening point L59: The hidden village. Here you will hear the dramatic story about the Hidden Village: a secret village in hiding that was founded in the woods in the spring of 1943. Three huts have been recreated, and some remains of the original huts can still be found.
