The Hanseatic city of Elburg is brimming with historic buildings and monuments. It was once a bustling fishing village on the Zuiderzee. Pedaling through the forests, past heathlands, fens, and moraines, you'll discover the magnificent nature of the Veluwe. You might even encounter a roe deer or red deer along the way! In the woods near Vierhouten, you'll cycle past listening spot L59: The Hidden Village. Here you'll learn the dramatic story of the Hidden Village: a secret hiding place established in the woods in the spring of 1943. Three huts have been reconstructed, and some remnants of the original huts can still be found.
