Tour of Zeeland from island to island

From Noord-Beveland to Walcheren: cycling from one peninsula to the other you cross the Veerse Meer. The Veerse Meer was created by damming the Veerse Gat when the Delta Works were built. Thousands of rainbow and brook trout are released here every year. Sailors, anglers, recreational divers, surfers, water skiers and canoeists come to their heart's content on and in the lake. The tour first takes you to windmill De Korenbloem (hull/remainder) in Kortgene, a round stone upper porter from 1873. After a stopover at Theetuin and Farm Camping Plantlust near the beautiful old Veere, you can see windmill De Koe from afar. It was only built in 1909. According to Zeeland tradition, the brick mill is white in color. You cycle back via Vrouwenpolder, with a beautiful view of the Oosterscheldekering.
