Enjoy the beauty of the Maas

In North Limburg you can cycle along the meandering Maas. You will pass through beautiful nature reserves and historical towns where you can admire beautiful buildings. Every now and then you can dream away as you look out over the rippling water.

Rose village Lottum
Through the forests of the Blerickse Bergen and the Koelbroek you drive to Grubbenvorst. Here, on the Everlose Beek, you will find the Slottermolen. The mill section dates back to the fourteenth century, the rest of the building from 1849. Just north of the village you will pass Huis De Steeg, a mansion from 1750. Around Lottum you will notice how many roses grow here: around twenty million are grown annually.

Hanseatic city Venlo
You cross the Maas by ferry. There is also plenty to do on the right bank. Like in Venlo where you cycle along the hip and cozy Maasboulevard. If you still want to see something of old Venlo, you can cycle to the Markt or the Gasthuisstraat, the most medieval street in the Netherlands.
