Cycling through the woods near Barchem

Get on your bike just outside Barchem and head towards Lochem. This city on the Berkel is full of beautiful historic buildings such as the Gudula Church and the former town hall and the Berkeloord district even enjoys a protected village view. From Lochem you cycle through an extensive and quiet nature reserve in the direction of Ruurlo. Along the way you can enjoy all the greenery around you on the Klein Dochterense Veld, the Warkense Veld and the Grote Veld. This oasis of peace in Gelderland begs to be discovered.

A trip to Barchem
From the end point of the route you will be in Barchem in no time. This village is located right next to the Lochemse Berg. You will find two beautiful churches there: the Bach Church and De Hoeksteen. For the rest, Barchem is mainly a village that suffers a lot from residents moving away from the village.
