Cycling between Ermelo and Elspeet

The route between Ermelo and Elspeet offers beautiful cycling through nature. You start at the edge of the Ermelosche Heide. Next, you ride a considerable distance through the Leuvenumse Bos. Around junction 84, you cycle a short distance through the Leuvenum Estate. Occasionally, the dense forests here briefly give way to flower-rich grasslands. The Staverden Estate was laid out centuries ago with the intention of founding a city there. This did not succeed. However, several beautiful old buildings still stand there. In Elspeet, you can dismount for a refreshing break at Restaurant Op De Brink or at Ice & Fries by Danny. Just past junction 60, you can get off for a moment to look out over the Houtdorperveld. The final kilometers take you through the Speulderbos with its old trees.
