Your cycling route starts at Hofstede Villetta. Via Bruinisse you cycle to Ouwerkerk, where you can see beautiful monuments on the old Ring. On the Oosterschelde you can visit Museum Watersnood 1953, located in the four caissons that closed the last hole in the dike at Ouwerkerk. Afterwards you will visit Zierikzee, with its rich history and beautiful sights. The historic city on the Oosterschelde has preserved a unique medieval street pattern. It has been a protected cityscape since 1971 and the town is known as a monument city. Remnants of the city wall can still be seen, but the Sint-Lievensmonstertoren, also known as the Dikke Toren, is the city's most famous landmark. On the edge of Zierikzee you pass the mill Den Haas, built in 1727.

The most famous windmill type in the Netherlands. Windmills were not only used to produce flour from cereals, but also for draining polder areas. Natural energy. The most famous windmills can be found in Kinderdijk, which have truly been set up as a polder model. A must see!
