Schouwen-Duivenland: cultural hotspot.

From the Brouwersdam you drive straight onto Schouwen-Duiveland. First you cycle to Brouwershaven. Within the fortress walls you will find many beautiful old buildings. You drive along the meadows to Schuddebeurs. In the Golden Age, a few capital houses were built here with associated parks. Zierikzee is a cozy, but also beautiful town. There are no less than 568 monuments, so take plenty of time to experience the unique historical atmosphere here. From junction 91 you drive along the Prunje, the oldest polder on the island. The former swamp has been returned to nature thanks to the'Tureluur\\\' Plan and is now a true bird paradise. Via Scharendijk you cycle back onto the Brouwersdam. Time for a terrace at Strandpaviljoen Brouw.
