Description
This route starts and ends at the square in front of the Roman Catholic Church in Duistervoorde in Twello. It is about 1.5 kilometers from the station. The car is easy to park on the square in front of the church.
You follow part of the Apeldoorn te Voet path and the country estates route of the Hanzestedenpad. You also use parts of Klompenpaden. Bringing a dog is not allowed on these Klompenpaden.
The goal was to avoid regular roads as much as possible. However, this could not be fully achieved. Especially the last kilometers to and from The Vecht and the last stretch at Twello on the way back are on paved roads with motorized traffic.
All in all a nice round from Twello to surrounding villages where forest alternates with the more flat IJssel polder landscape.
