Cycling route from Zoetermeer

This route takes you from Zoetermeer for a trip through the polder, the dunes and The Hague. A wonderful route full of natural beauty and sights.

Duivenvoorde Castle
At Hudson Zoetermeer you can enjoy a coffee and something tasty before you get on your bike. You drive along the edge of the Buyten Park, where you will see a surprisingly wild landscape with heathland and beautiful viewpoints. In the polders of the Groene Hart you can see Holland at its most beautiful. You look out over ponds, ditches, reed collars and vast fields. You cross the Duivenvoorde corridor, an ecological connecting zone with the thirteenth-century Duivenvoorde Castle at its heart.

Meijendel
You cycle through Oud-Wassenaar, a neighborhood where you can spot many beautiful buildings. Like the nineteenth-century Oud-Wassenaar Castle through the dunes of Meijendel, you drive to the next green area: the Scheveningse Bosjes, a beautiful nature reserve that dates back to the early 1400s! Then you cycle through the old center of The Hague. What a rich cultural history! Delft, which is further away, is also worth a visit, of course. You drive back to Hudson Zoetermeer via the Delftse Hout nature reserve.
