Tour of Delftse Hout and Midden-Delfland

Your cycle route starts at Saam below the Mill. Mill Windlust was originally built in Delft, but the entire superstructure was moved in 1885. After restoration, the mill will run again on a voluntary basis. Straight through the Delftse Hout nature and recreation area you drive to the historic town of Delft, where Delft Blue originated and has grown into a lively student city. The quieter outskirts of Delft form a great contrast to the bustling city. In Midden-Delfland you cycle through the small town of Schipluiden. In this nice town you can see some beautiful monumental buildings on the quay. You ride along the Vlaardingervaart on the cycle path. Get a breath of fresh air, while looking out over the rippling water, the reed beds and the wide grasslands. You cycle back through the Abtswoudse bos.
