Description

The south-east corner of Friesland bears the name De Friese Wouden. In this picturesque bocage landscape, small-scale fields are separated by hedgerows. The Halte Leppedijk tea garden is located in the middle of this natural wealth. You can enjoy the peace and quiet with a cup of tea and a pastry on the cozy terrace or on one of the decking by the pond. You have about fifty kilometers ahead of you. Along the way you will experience the Frisian landscape at its purest and most beautiful. You also cycle through Drachten. This area used to be rich in raised bogs. The Drachtster Compagnonsvaart was dug to drain the peat extracted. Later shipyards arose here. In the marina of Drachten you can enjoy the view of countless ships, masts and flapping flags, before you cycle back to your starting point.
