Tour of the Van Nelle Factory: industrial icon in Rotterdam

You will pass one of the most important industrial monuments in the Netherlands: the Van Nelle Factory in Rotterdam, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The building was completed in 1930. It is regarded as a pioneering icon of the famous Dutch modernism, in which light, air and space form the starting point. The architecture is not the only reason for the appointment: with this building, the then director also wanted to improve the working conditions for his staff.
