Tour of the Betuwe: along the Linge to Buren

Vast agricultural areas, orchards and here and there a beautiful sight. That is what awaits you today. The route starts at Prince Heerlijk. Via the hamlet of Twee Sluizen you walk to the Linge, known for its blossoming fruit trees in the spring. A typical Betuwe picture. But actually it is beautiful here all year round! You follow the winding Linge through a beautiful farmland. Then you walk into Buren, a picturesque town that can call itself Oranjestad because of its connection with the royal family. Here you can see, for example, the fifteenth-century Sint-Lambertuskerk where William of Orange married his first wife Anna van Buren. The fortifications are still largely intact.
