Description
A route full of natural beauty and historical sights. That is what awaits you today as you cycle over the Utrechtse Heuvelrug and through Zeist. Enjoy! Your route starts at Hotel Landgoed Zonheuvel. You regularly pass a beautiful country house, such as villa Quatre Bras from 1897. Further on you will pass several monuments that are located on Landgoed Den Treek. You will also see some nice houses in Soesterberg and Huis ter Heide. The most beautiful building of the day is Slot Zeist. This seventeenth-century show castle was built by order of Willem Adriaan van Nassau, a grandson of Maurits van Oranje. The castle can be visited at set times. You also descend briefly to the Kromme Rijnstreek, between the trees you have beautiful views over the meadows.
