Around and through Soest

This cycle route runs over the Leusderheide and the Vuursche Heide between Soest, Soesterberg, Bilthoven and Zeist. Heathland, open sandy plains and deciduous and coniferous forests alternate in a slightly sloping landscape. You start at Herberg Boschoord in Lage Vuursche, a nice place in the middle of the woods. It is a wonderful place to stay when you have completed the bike ride. Treat yourself with a cup of coffee and a slice of apple pie or a delicious lunch, drink or dinner. Along the way you will pass a number of special sights, such as De Hooge Vuursche Castle and Soestdijk Palace. You will also cycle past impressive estates and country estates, such as the Roverestein estate. The historic country estate was founded in 1885 and is protected as a national monument complex.
