Description

Malmedy is one of the most beautiful towns in the Ardennes, surrounded by beautiful nature. Discover this beautiful area on the edge of the High Fens and enjoy the breathtaking landscapes and nice little museums along the way. There is plenty to see here, perhaps even too much to see in one day.

Centuries-old sights
In the middle of Malmedy you can take a look at Maison Vinette, one of the oldest houses in the city. The house probably dates from 1689. Peek through the window and see the old-fashioned bedroom that still looks exactly as it did in the old days. A little further along this route you enter Stavelot. Here you can visit the Stavelot Abbey, which was completely renovated not so long ago. You will find no fewer than three museums there: the museum of the Prince-Bishopric of Stavelot - Malmedy, the museum of the Circuit of Spa - Francorchamps and the Guillaume Apollinaire museum.

The most famous waterfalls in Belgium

A little further on you pass the beautiful Coo. Relax on a terrace here for a well-deserved snack and a drink and enjoy the view of the 15-meter-high Coo waterfalls. These are the most famous waterfalls in Belgium, so be sure to take a look here.

Enjoy the view
The small waterfall of Coo has existed since the 15th century. The larger waterfall was founded in the 18th century by the Prince Abbot of Stavelot to protect Petit-Coo from flooding. Relax by the view of the flowing water or go on an adventure with a kayak. It's all possible here.
