Around the Mastenbroek polder

Mastenbroek is a medieval polder in the municipalities of Zwartewaterland, Kampen and Zwolle and is part of the IJsseldelta National Landscape in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is one of the oldest polders in the Netherlands. The small village center of the same name with school, association building and church is located in the middle of the polder. The polder extends between the IJssel and the Zwarte Water, roughly between the cities of Genemuiden, Hasselt, Kampen and Zwolle. To the southwest of the polder is the IJsseldijk, to the north of the polder is the Kamperzeedijk, a former sea dike.
