Loop around Hill's, Overasselt, Wijchen and Bergharen

From Bergharen, you take a loop through the nature surrounding Wijchen. First, you cycle to the picturesque village of Hernen. From the Maasbandijk, you have beautiful views over the floodplains and the river. Now that is a lovely bike ride! You pass the Regenboogbrug towards Grave. In the Nederasselt floodplains, you pass the Kroonwerk Coehoorn. You can still make out the outlines of the bastion in the bushes in the field! Just past junction 44, you pass Erpewaai. This nature reserve is typical of the river area: it consists of forest, marsh, and pools. Further on, you ride through the Heumense Bos; the Overasseltse & Hatertse Vennen are also along your route. Via Wijchen, you ride past the Leurse Bos back to Hill's. Time for a nice bite to eat and a drink!
