Description
In and around the municipality of Zuidhorn you can go on beautiful bike rides. Fifteen small hamlets together form this municipality, which is part of the Westerkwartier. On this route you will visit some of these places.
Sightseeing in Zuidhorn
From the starting point you cycle towards the mill Woldzigt in Roderwolde. The windmill dates from 1852 and can be used as a corn mill and as an oil mill. The wooden octagonal mill is still regularly put into operation by volunteers. You will find the Dutch Grain Museum in the former grain attic of the mill. You then continue your journey to the National Carriage Museum. Here you can view a collection of carriages that have driven around in the Netherlands over the past 300 years. With more than 300 examples, this museum has the largest collection of carriages in the world.

Then you can set off rested the next day to discover the nearby city of Groningen or cycle route 154034.
