Cycling tour 'The 65 of Hennie Kuiper'

This tour was set out on the occasion of the 65th birthday of cycling icon Hennie Kuiper. As a tribute to Twente's most successful cycling hero, the cycling tour 'The 65 of Hennie' was organised. Together with close friends of the likeable former champion, a beautiful 'butterfly route' was designed, which became permanent. The 65-kilometre route (with an approach route from the starting point Papillon Country Resort, a few kilometres are added) takes you past the birthplace of the main character - Erve Kuiper farm - near the canal in Noord-Deurningen. Along the way, you will discover nice historical places to get off and learn more about the region, such as Natura Docet Natural History Museum in Denekamp and the Open Air Museum in Ootmarsum. In Ootmarsum you will also find many pleasant terraces!
