Description
From here you can walk to the Peelse heide and the Groote Cirkel and the Kleine Cirkel. The Great Circle is said to correspond in size to the Place de l\\\'Étoile in Paris. Also, the distance from the Great Circle to the Little Circle would be the same as that between the Place de l\\\'Étoile and the Place de la Concorde. The circles are so clearly visible in the landscape that they formed an important orientation point for pilots during the Second World War. Near the Groote Cirkel you will find the Reuselse Kei. This boulder of almost one and a half tons ended up in this area via a former course of the Meuse. The rock is estimated to be 550 million years old.
