Route was fine. Weather conditions not bad. Thin clouds on the way there, sometimes sunny. No more sun anymore, a bit cooler and more wind. But kept dry throughout the trip. Cut off part of the way there between junction 4 and junction 11. As a result, junction 6 was skipped. Estimated savings 4 km. From Nieuwstad (return) not via junction 18 and 23, but shorter via junction 16 inland to junction 13. Estimated saving 7 km. Total distance not 61 km, but about 50 km.
