Round Millingerwaard

The walking route goes through the floodplains of the Millingerwaard. An area that has been redesigned in recent years to better distribute the water from the Waal at high water levels.

Sometimes the work can still be seen, but more often nature prevails and it is worth wandering here every season. It is also allowed to wander off the paths and that is precisely what makes a walk here adventurous. This walking route is flat and goes over beaten paths, but you can always add a bit of strolling yourself. A small part of the walk is on the paved cycling / walking path.

The trails in this area cannot always be found on the map, which is why it is sometimes a bit more difficult to navigate via an app. The entire round is easy to walk, but sometimes the route in the app deviates from the actual situation here and there. 

This route is also suitable for Nordic walking.

Tip ! Good shoes are a must during the wetter periods.
